ST JAMES’ SQUARE LAW FIRM ADVISES NEW FISH QUAY RESTAURANT
Quay Partners on the Tyne Ltd. have been assisted by St James’ Square with the establishment of their new restaurant venture in North Shields.
31 The Quay, which serves modern British cuisine, is located on the ground floor of the contemporary Smokehouses apartments at Smith’s Dock.
The new restaurant opens its doors in the new neighbourhood on Friday 21st June.
Jenny Atkin from the Real Estate – Commercial Property department at St James’ Square advised Quay Partners on the deal which brings locally sourced seasonal dishes to the waterfront.
Jenny, a Senior Associate at St James’ Square, said: “31 The Quay is a great addition to the new development at Smith’s Dock. Not only is it based at such a unique location, but the restaurant will help bring employment and regeneration to the coastal community.
“In a similar way to St James’ Square, 31 The Quay offers a high-end service at a reasonable price. With our aligning outlook and ideals, we knew it would be a great partnership that would work together successfully throughout the process.”
Andrew Wilkinson, former winner of North East Chef of the Year, will be running the new restaurant’s kitchen.
Di Veitch from Quay Partners said: “We are delighted to bring 31 The Quay to Smith’s Dock. We pride ourselves for being socially conscious. Our food is locally sourced, and we ensure that our staff are treated well with the best possible wage and working conditions.
“With Andrew’s award-winning artisan experience, our dishes promise to be to be fresh, original and delicious.
“Like all new business ventures, we have been faced with many challenges, but the team at St James’ Square have been a tremendous support in helping us overcome them and we’ve been grateful for their exceptional legal expertise and knowledge.”
