St James' Square turns 4

Staff at commercial law firm St James’ Square were celebrating today as the business officially turned four.

Four years ago, partners Paul Monaghan, Andrew CarserMark Lynn and Martin Wilson teamed up with investor Brad Holbrook and together, they planned out a business strategy that would set out to establish the ideal law firm.

Initially operating out of one room at Hoults Yard, Newcastle, with just a few desks, phones and a laptop each, the Partners were soon able to rapidly grow the team and new members of staff came on board.

Today as the firm celebrates the milestone of turning four, it boasts a turnover exceeding £2.5m, 9 specialist and partner-led departments and 30 fantastic members of staff. Staff at the firm have also worked tirelessly to raise over £50,000 for North East charities and continue to build on their successful Charity of the Year scheme, which aims to raise a further £100,000 in the next two years.”

Paul Monaghan, Managing Partner said, “We are absolutely thrilled to be celebrating four years in business. It has been a challenging year for all businesses, but we are fortunate to have amazing staff and some absolutely fantastic clients who are a pleasure to work with. I’d like to thank them all for their continued support.”

Partner, Andrew Carser, continues, “We founded our business on the notion that nothing is impossible and we continue to apply that notion to everything we do. Our plans for the next two years are to double our turnover to over five million pounds and to add on more partner-led specialist departments.”

All of the Partners and staff are hugely excited to see what the next four years will bring.
